1. Data controller
Play6r is the data controller for your personal data. Data Protection Officer contact: [email protected].
Our processing complies with Cameroon Law No. 2024/017 of 23 December 2024 on the protection of personal data and the principles of the Malabo Convention.
2. Data collected
- Identity: email, display name, date of birth (18+ gate).
- Profile: photos, bio, preferences, city.
- Activity: swipes, matches, messages, meeting tickets.
- Payment: amount, operator, Campay reference (never full phone).
- Technical: IP address, device type, error logs.
3. Purposes
- Provide the service (matching, chat, tickets).
- Secure the platform (moderation, anti-fraud, anti-CSAM).
- Process payments and meet accounting obligations.
- Improve the product (anonymized analytics).
- Comply with legal obligations (ANTIC, GABAC).
4. Legal bases
- Contract performance: account, chat, matches.
- Explicit consent: age 18+, marketing.
- Legitimate interest: moderation, anti-fraud.
- Legal obligation: payment evidence kept 5 years.
5. Data sharing
We never sell your data. We only share with:
- Campay (Mobile Money processing).
- Our hosting provider (Vercel / Fly.io, EU servers).
- AI moderation provider (chat content only, never photos).
- Cameroonian authorities upon lawful request.
6. Retention
- Active account: until you delete it.
- Inactive 12 months: automatic deletion after notice.
- Chat messages: 90 days after last exchange.
- Transactions: 5 years (accounting).
- Technical logs: 30 days.
7. Your rights
- Access: download your data at /legal/data-export.
- Rectification: edit your profile anytime.
- Erasure: delete your account at /account.
- Portability: JSON export available.
- Objection: contact [email protected].
You may lodge a complaint with ANTIC (Cameroon data protection authority).
8. Security
TLS 1.3 encryption in transit. Role-based data access. Private photos served only through authenticated proxy. No user-to-user money transfers.
In case of a breach, we notify ANTIC and affected users within 72 hours.
9. International transfers
Some data may be processed outside Cameroon (EU hosting). These transfers are covered by contractual safeguards compliant with Law 2024/017.
10. Minors
Play6r is strictly for users 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Any detected minor account is immediately deleted.
11. Changes
Any material change is notified 15 days in advance by email.
